To my resilient sisters, my beautiful Black women navigating the intricate landscape of trauma and PTSD recovery:
In the quiet corners of our hearts, where stories of survival and strength reside, lies an unwavering truth: you are inherently worthy of peace. You carry within you a legacy of a spirit forged in the fires of adversity, an emotional tapestry woven with threads of courage and unwavering hope. You have weathered storms that many cannot fathom, and still, your light shines.
Healing from trauma is a deeply personal journey, a courageous reclaiming of self. It's about acknowledging the wounds, yes, but also recognizing the incredible strength it took to endure. Your feelings – the pain, the fear, the anger – they are valid.
They are echoes of experiences that have shaped you, but they do not define you.
